Off!

Dan | December 19, 2008

I’m off on my kinda-annual jaunt to somewhere interesting. We’re (notice the plural!) flying to Bangkok tomorrow, then we’re going to go overland south, and eventually end up in Cambodia. Yes, Cambodia isn’t south. It’ll make sense, I promise.
Christmas in the tropics. I’m excited.

Fun with upgrading

Dan | December 14, 2008

Well, Wordpress has released WP 2.7, and I was going to update, until I checked the documentation and realized that since this blog is themed, the theme might not work. So, I have to wait until the theme is re-done for 2.7, then I have to download it, then I have to check it and [...]

Winter bounty

Dan | December 6, 2008

I started gardening a couple of years ago; my apartment has no yard, but San Francisco has an extensive network of community gardens. After a few months on a waiting list, I got a little plot about as big as a good-sized dining room table in a little garden a block from my house. [...]

Selling out

Dan | December 2, 2008

So now I have this new shiny website, and I’m going to attempt to sell a shiny new book. This begs the question - how does one go about selling said book? The traditional way is to go ahead and send a bunch of letters to agents. Somewhat suprisingly, that’s what I’m going [...]
